Lake County will make its second straight trip to Weakley County this Thursday night as the Falcons will travel to Dresden to take on the region-leading Lions.

Falcons Head Coach Hunter Short shared what he wants his team to accomplish in the final regular-season game of 2025.

“I want to see us go out and fight like there’s nothing to lose,” Short said. “We have done a good job all year competing so I just wanna see our guys go out and see what happens and leave it all out on the field.”

Offensively, the Lions have some size up front and do have a good running game.

“Dresden is big up front and they have Luke DiPietro who is one of the top rushers in our classification across the state,” Short explained.

The Falcon defense will need a big game from the front seven to slow down Dresden, according to their head coach.

On the other side of the ball, Dresden also has some size up front.

“Dresden is big on the defensive line and will be tough to move with guys like Brody Taylor and JaQwan Ellison,” Short said.

Short shared where the big game needs to come from on the Lake County offensive line.

“Our offensive line will always be the answer for who needs a big game for us to be successful,” Short explained. “They have gotten better throughout the year.”

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Thursday night in Dresden.
