  Meet the Vols 2026 Offensive Tackles/Tight Ends Position Coaches-- Glen Elarbee, Alec Abeln All Star Candidates-- David Sanders, Ethan Davis David Sanders-- Sophomore (6-6, 310) from Charlotte, North Carolina-- The former five star rated prospect and a top three offensive lineman coming out of high school; Sanders got some serious "on-the-job" training last season. ESPN and Rivals called him the No. 1 recruit coming out of North Carolina and the No. 1 tackle in the 2025 graduating class. He was slowed by a shoulder injury and missed the first four games last fall before logging his first start vs. Kentucky. He played at right tackle a year ago but has now moved to his natural position on the left side of the blocking front. After starting the final six contests of the season, Sanders was named to the SEC All Freshman squad and also was a member of at least two Freshman All American teams. Local partnership to bring travel baseball tournaments to Dyersburg

  Jason Peevyhouse Editor, JP Productions Sports Two local youth sports organizations will be working together later this year to bring Dyersburg three travel baseball tournaments with the first on the calendar for mid-August. The Dyersburg Activity Center and the Dyersburg Diamond Youth Baseball league will be working together to host three tournaments this fall with Grand Slam Baseball. DAC Director Patrick Holden, talked about how this agreement came about. “Tyler Baker with Grand Slam Baseball reached out to me about wanting to bring some travel baseball tournaments this fall to Dyersburg,” Holden recalled. “We have always been pretty much softball only, rec softball and travel ball. “So, that’s when I reached out to Kyle Hinson, president of the Diamond Youth Baseball Organization.” Holden explained that when he learned most of these travel baseball tournaments are two-day events, he reached out to the local DYB league for help and a chance to benefit both organi...

  Meet the Vols 2026 Secondary Position Coaches-- Anthony Poindexter, Derek Jones All Star Candidates-- Ty Redmond, T.J. Metcalf, Edwin Farooq Ty Redmond-- Sophomore (6-2, 200, 4.45) from Alpharetta, Georgia- Pressed into duty as a true freshman last season, Redmond served notice that he is going to be a very special player at cornerback for Tennessee. He was recognized with honors that included third team All-SEC, first team All SEC Freshmen and two first team slots on Freshman All American teams. He opened the season with four tackles and two pass breakups vs. Syracuse and his performances became more consistent as the schedule moved into October and November. He led the Vols with three interceptions on the year and was also No. 1 in the conference by posting 12 pass breakups and 15 passes defended.   Meet the Vols 2026 Middle Linebackers/Star (Rover) Position Coaches-- William Inge, Anthony Poindexter All Star Candidates-- Jeremiah Telander, Edwin Spillman, Qua Moss Jeremiah Telander-- Senior (6-2, 235) from Gainesville, Georgia-- The veteran anchor of the linebacking corps, Telander has participated in 39 games that includes 21 starts at MLB. He has been recognized as a "downhill" tackler that is stout against the run and who can also blitz on a pass rush when called on to do so. Last season he was second on the team with 80 total tackles including six stops for minus yardage, a sack and he grabbed the first pass interception of his career. To date, Telander has posted 158 total hits, 12 tackles for lost yardage and three fumble recoveries. His top performance thus far in his career was 10 tackles on just 47 defensive snaps in the playoff loss to Ohio State following the 2024 regular season.
