Lady Trojans dominate Poplar Bluff, Mules top Trojans

Less than 21 hours after splitting on the road at Medina, Dyersburg took the the road again on Saturday afternoon as the Lady Trojans picked up another win while the DHS boys fell to Poplar Bluff in Missouri.

In the opening game of the doubleheader, the Lady Trojans cruised to a 65-31 win over the Lady Mules.

Dyersburg jumped out to a commanding 28-2 to lead in the first quarter on the way to a the 34-point win.

Chelby Jordan led the way with 17 points while Bri Parr and Kay Kay Strayhorn each scored nine.

In the nightcap, Dyersburg fell behind early to the Mules and never bounced back, falling 64-43 to Poplar Bluff.

Demonate Johnson led the way for the Trojans with eight points in a balanced night of scoring by the black and gold.

The Trojans and Lady Trojans return to action on Friday for Homecoming 2025 when Dyersburg hosts Obion County Central at 6 p.m.
