DMS Soccer tops Appling to advance to TMSAA Regional Championship Game

 



After a 6-0 win over Bon Lin on Monday in the opening round of the tournament, the Dyersburg Middle School Trojan soccer team is one win away from its first TMSAA Regional Championship after defeating Appling 5-0 in the semifinals at Bartlett.

DMS was led by Celso Gonzalez, how had a hat trick with three goals while Vega Leon and Hudson Ford each added a goal apiece in the win.


DMS advances to the TMSAA Regional Championship Game on Monday at Arlington High School where they will take on Arlington at 5:30 p.m.

Before that, however, the Trojans will begin another postseason tournament as Dyersburg hosts the first round of the West Tennessee Regional Soccer Conference. The black and gold will take on Martin at J.C. Sawyers Stadium at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
