Northview softball holds Eighth Grade Night in win over Three Oaks


 


Northview Middle School honored the eighth-grade members of the Lady Choctaw softball team on Monday afternoon before their game against Three Oaks. Members of the team honored were (from left) NMS Assistant Coach Bradley Woody, Emily Hall, Kate Benedetto, Lilly Tucker, Rilee Price, Ella Wright and NMS Head Coach Chris Thone.

Northview defeated Three Oaks in West Tennessee Athletic Conference action, 15-0. 

Northview's day was highlighted by a stellar performance in the circle by Harper Peery, who threw a four-inning no-hitter on Monday, striking out five batters along the way.

Northview was able to put the game away with seven runs in the third inning and five in the fourth to get the win.

Kate Benedetto led the way for Northview with a triple and a single and an RBI. Peery helped her own cause with two singles and two runs driven in. Hall and and Lyla Beth Woody each had a pair of singles in the win.

Northview hosts Ripley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
