Just about a month removed from the end of the 2025 TSSAA baseball season, Dyer County junior Talon Messer has received a postseason honor as he was named to the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Class AAA All-State Team for his efforts during this past spring.

“Very proud of Talon, and he is very deserving of this honor,” Dyer County head coach Derek Hinson said. “The numbers might not show this year like he would want, but look at the schedule we play!

“I can’t wait for next year for his senior campaign and see what he is going to do!”

Messer was one of 26 players across Tennessee to be named to the all-state team in Class AAA.

Messer batted .331 during his junior season with three home runs, 40 RBI and 27 runs scored. While accumulating 40 hits, he also drew 22 walks at the plate.
