Dyer County dominates Central in district volleyball action

Coming off a three-set sweep the night before in Bartlett, Dyer County kept up its winning ways with a sweep of Obion County Central in Troy on Tuesday night.

The win was the Lady Choctaws’ District 13AA opener while Central fell to 0-3 in the district with the loss.

Dyer County took the first set 25-10 then claimed the second frame 25-5 after an 8-0 start to the set. The Lady Choctaws then claimed the sweep with a 25-7 win in the third set.

Dyer County returns to action on Thursday when the Lady Choctaws head to Dyersburg for another District 13AA matchup at 6 p.m. Meanwhile, Central returns to action on Thursday when the Lady Rebels travel to South Gibson at 6 p.m.
