Dyersburg bounces back with sweep over South Gibson

The Lady Trojans bounced back from a tough loss on the road in Milan with a three-set sweep over visiting South Gibson in the Terry Glover Gymnasium on Thursday night in Dyersburg.

Though the Lady Hornets jumped out to an early lead in the first frame, Dyersburg battled back to tie the game at 11-11. From there, the black and gold outscored South Gibson 14-5 to take the first set 25-16.

While South Gibson fought back to give the Lady Trojans a battle before losing the second set, 25-19, Dyersburg but the game away with a 25-12 win in the third set to take the match in a sweep.

Dyersburg returns to action on Monday when the Lady Trojans host Westview beginning at 5 p.m. with junior varsity action with varsity to follow.
