Coming off a two-point win on the road the previous week in Cordova, the Falcons made it two in a row on Friday night with a 30-0 win at Ripley.

The Falcons got a pair of defensive scores in the first half as Randy Demo got a sack and a fumble which also resulted in a touchdown for the Lake County defender while Cade Lanier picked off an errant Tiger pass and ran it back for a score to help the green and gold take a 14-0 halftime lead.

In the second half, Ka’Devon Gross led the way with a pair of touchdown runs to help put the game away for the Falcons.

Gross carried the ball 26 times for 174 yards in addition to the two touchdowns.

Lake County was strong on the ground, carrying the ball 43 times for 227 yards.

Nigel Clark added an interception to the defensive effort which allowed only 33 yards during the win.

Lake County heads into the bye week this week with a 2-1 mark and returns to action on Friday, Sept. 19 when the Falcons host Gleason in Region 7-1A action.
