The Lady Rebels opened a busy week on the court with a strong showing in Tiptonville, falling behind early in each set then dominating much of the rest of the way en route to a three-set win over Lake County on Monday night.

Lake County was able to get on the board first and held a 4-3 lead early in the first quarter. But, the Lady Rebels roared back behind kills from Carsen Brady-Elliot and Lena Kate Johnson with Colee Forester on the line to go on a 19-0 run and build a comfortable 22-4 lead on the way to the 25-5 win in the first set.

The Lady Rebels trailed 2-1 early in the second set before taking a 14-0 run through much of the frame to build a 15-5 lead. The Lady Falcons were able to battle back including a pair of aces from LeAuna Hopper to cut into the Lady Rebel lead but Central pulled away for the 25-14 win after a Brady-Elliot kill to punctuate the win in set two.

The Lady Falcons were able to keep it close early but the Lady Rebels pulled away at the end of the third set to take the match after a 25-11 win in the final frame.

Obion County Central returns to action on Tuesday when the Lady Rebels host South Gibson at 6 p.m. Meanwhile, the Lady Falcons head back to the court on Tuesday as well as Lake County hosts Halls in a doubleheader at 5 p.m.
