The Lady Choctaws, coming off a two-set win two nights earlier in the TSSAA Division III District 13A Tournament, returned to their home court for the final time in 2025 on Thursday night.

Northview made short work of visiting North Parkway as the Lady Choctaws handed the District 14A champion a straight-set defeat in Newbern to claim the TSSAA Division III Class A Region match and advance to next week’s state tournament.

Northview dominated the opening set as Harper Peery rattled off multiple aces while Emma Milligan added a couple kills to jump out to a 20-0 lead. The Lady Panthers were finally able to get on the board before a Milligan ace sealed Northview’s 25-3 win in the opening set.

A pair of Northview miscues helped Parkway keep the second set close early. But, the Lady Choctaws went on an 11-0 run through the next few minutes to build another double-digit lead. With the lead growing and Northview moving closer to the region title, the Lady Choctaws subbed out their starters on the way to a 25-5 win in the second set and the region championship.

The win puts Northview in the TSSAA Division III Class A State Tournament for the third straight year. The Lady Choctaws have been a part of every state tournament in the middle school bracket’s history.

Northview will play in the TSSAA Division III Class A State Tournament which begins next Thursday.
