District 13AA Volleyball Awards

 




The Dyer County Choctaws won the District 13AA Tournament Championship Game on Thursday in Newbern with a three-set win over Crockett County. Dyer County advances to the Region 7AA Tournament where the orange and white will take on Bolivar in the semifinals on Monday night in Newbern. Thursday's win is the fifth straight district championship for the Choctaws.

Six Dyer County players received individual honors for their play during the regular season as well as the district tournament. Choctaws honored were (from left) Kierstyn Ray (District 13AA Co-Hitter of the Year), Emma Wray (All-Academic, All-District, All-Tournament), Blair Acree (All-District), Rylee Key (All-Academic, District 13AA Most Valuable Player, District Tournament Most Valuable Player), Katie Beth Caldwell (All-District, All-Tournament), and Evie Rogers (All-District). Not pictured: Kennedy Hill (District Scholar).


Three members of the Dyersburg Lady Trojans volleyball team were honored with individual awards following the district championship game. DHS team members honored were (from left) Izzie Odom (All-Academic), De'licia Ahmad (District 13AA Coach of the Year), Taniyah Brooks (All-Academic, All-District). 


Six members of the Obion County Central volleyball team received individual honors on Thursday following the District 13AA Championship Game. Lady Rebels honored were (from left) Brooke Baker (District Scholar), Kodie Robbins (District Scholar, All-District), Ella Paschall (All-Academic) and Carsen Brady-Elliot (All-Academic). Not pictured: Mia Williams (All-Academic) and Annie Miller (All-Academic)
