With their home schedule now in the books, Lake County will spend the final two weeks of the regular season on the road battling for the Falcons spot in the postseason beginning with a trip to Greenfield this Friday night.

Lake County Head Coach Hunter Short talked about the importance of the final two games of the 2025 schedule.

“It’s do or die now for playoff purposes,” Short said frankly. “We have to go in with the mindset of there is no tomorrow with each of the last two games.”

The Falcon head coach talked about where the Yellowjackets give him and his staff concerns on offense.

“The quarterback Easton Sullivan is a very good player who does it all for them,” Short said. “We have to be able to slow him down.”

To do this, Short said the entire Falcon defense doing its job which he added was lacked last week.

On the other side of ball, the Yellowjacket defense has some experience playing for it, according to Short.

“They have some older guys up front and active inside linebackers,” Short added. “Cevon McMullen and Caden Sparkman are two that stick out for them on defense.”

Short pointed out where the big games need to come from moving forward.

“Offensive line every week,” the Falcon head coach said. “We have to be able to sustain a consistent run game.”

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Friday night in Greenfield.
