After a big win to go into their bye week two weeks ago, the Rebels will return to action this week for their final non-region game of the season as Obion County Central travels to South Fulton this Friday night.

Central Head Coach Clayton Morris said the week off was very beneficial to his team.

“It allowed us to heal up, reset, and refocus,” Morris explained. “A win before the bye week definitely helped with that.”

The Rebels will welcome a South Fulton team which is coming off its first loss of the season this past week to Lake County.

The Red Devils are very diverse offensively, according to the Central head coach.

“They always have a good plan and execute well,” Morris explained. “Their running game is what impresses me.

“Their running back, Josh McKnight, is a workhorse and is the heartbeat for them.”

One bright spot helped along by the bye week is the linebackers from Central are finally healthy.

“They need another big night as a unit,” Morris added. “If they can nullify the run game, I really like our chances.”

On the other side of the ball, the South Fulton defensive line is very physical and active, according to Morris.

“We have got to get them handled for our running game to get going,” the Central head coach explained. “Our offensive line and quarterback (need to have big games).

“If they can replicate their execution from McNairy, our offense will thrive.”

Morris is more than ready for his team to be back on the field following the Rebels bye week.

“It’s great to be back in a game week,” the Central head coach said. “Big game Friday with the awesome small-town atmosphere. It’s going to be awesome! Go Rebels!”

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in South Fulton.
