For the second straight season to open the TSSAA Class 3A Playoffs, the Trojans got on the bus, travelled to Bolton and took care of business, ending the Wildcats’ season with a 42-6 win over the hosting team on Friday night.

Dyersburg’s offense was hitting on all cylinders as Peyton Hill rushed for 111 yards on 11 carries with three touchdowns on the night.

Not to be outdone, Dyersburg quarterback Logston Morgan was 2-of-3 through the air and both of those passes resulted in touchdowns. The Trojan scores were both caught by Ty Seaton – one for 48 yards and the other for 10.

With the Trojans thoroughly in control and the clock running after the half, Necari Hall got on the board with a scored on an eight-yard run in the third quarter.

In the 36-point win, the Trojan offense put up 304 yards in the first half to help enforce the mercy rule.

Dyersburg will travel to Fairview next Friday night at 7 p.m. in the second round of the TSSAA Class 3A Playoffs.
