Bradford Jr. High’s girls wrapped up their season by bouncing back from a tough loss to Trinity Christian School with a 49-15 win over Northview in the third place game of the Lady Trojan Christmas Tournament on Tuesday afternoon in Dyersburg.

Northview got four of its eight first-quarter points from Jaliyah Watson. Bradford’s offense was clicking, scoring 19 points to take a 19-8 lead after one quarter.

The Lady Choctaws began to struggle on offense in the second quarter. Northview was held to a three-pointer from Landri Stewart and a pair of free throws by Cailee Adams and trailed 27-13 at the break.

During the second half, the Lady Red Devils put the game away, outscoring Northview 22-2 over the final dozen minutes to clinch third place in the tournament.

Stewart led the way for the Lady Choctaws with five points in the loss.

Northview returns to action on Monday when the Choctaws and Lady Choctaws travel to Haywood at 6 p.m.
