The Lady Trojans got on the bus to open their Christmas Break – literally – and travelled to White County for the Franks Shootout. Following the trip, Dyersburg fell 66-59 to Mt. Juliet in the tournament opener.

The game was tied at 45-45 heading into the fourth quarter. Dyersburg got a seven-point frame by Kay Kay Strayhorn to give her team some life in the final eight minutes. But, Mt. Juliet had a pair of standouts in Abby Osbourne with nine points in the fourth and McClaine Ringenberg with five points in the final eight minutes. The Golden Bears took the win with a 21-point frame.

Strayhorn led the way with 25 points while Chelby Jordan added 19.

The Lady Trojans will return to the court on Saturday at 5 p.m. at White County High School.
