Despite a one-goal lead at the half, Dyersburg had to battle from behind on Monday night at the Dyersburg Soccer Complex to earn a 4-4 tie with McKenzie in non-district action.

Dyersburg got on the board in the first half with a pair of goals from Meredith Zamzow and another by Haddy Manneh to counter two McKenzie goals in the opening frame to take a 3-2 lead at the half.

But, McKenzie opened the second half with back-to-back goals to take 4-3 lead. The Lady Rebel lead held until late in the game when a Manneh goal tied the game with about two minutes left. Neither team were able to get on the board again, resulting in a tie of four goals apiece.

The Lady Trojans have a quick turnaround as Dyersburg heads to Jackson on Tuesday at 6 p.m. to face Trinity Christian Academy in the second of three games this week.
